Top hint for this course

Let's give you a tip for the 13th. A par-3 that requires accuracy has bunkers surrounding the dancefloor, so going long, towards the other end of the green will see you score lower than your squad.

Full Course Lowdown

A golfing legacy. The Gullane No.1 course goes so far back, that the original designer of the course is unknown. In 2019, it was ranked 18th in the Scottish Top 100 by National Club Golfer Magazine.

Other awards include Golf Magazine, who stated the 3rd hole, a par-5, was one of the most picturesque in the world.

Among many others, it hosted the Aberdeen Standard European Tour in 2018. Follow the footsteps of golfing pros and tackle these legendary fairways.

Course

The opener is a par-4 at 302 yards. Start with a scorcher off the tee box favouring the right-hand side to avoid the bunkers and set up an approach suitable for a 9-iron.

Now for the famous 3rd hole. Voted as the world's 5th most picturesque hole in golf-requiring a zigzag approach from left to right for the easiest approach to the dancefloor. Big hitters could grab a birdie for the scorecards.

The end of the front nine demands a great deal of accuracy. 8 bunkers surround the green, meaning anything wayward will see you trapped in the sand. And we wouldn't want sand in those new trainers now, would we?

On the 18th (finally a bunker-less green), is a par-4 reachable in two strokes. Taking a route that avoids the bunkers on either side of the fairway should see you ready to sink the putt and claim your spot as the rightful winner.

Clubhouse

What's better than a clubhouse? Two of them. Double the fun, double the drinks, and double the unforgettable memories. Each clubhouse provides a welcoming atmosphere, famous for its excellent service standards.

Take your pick and analyse the action from the round while you enjoy that well-earned swing oil.

The Location

Only 28.9 miles from Edinburgh Airport-this location is prime for authentic Scottish links and cultural experiences. There are plenty of hotels and restaurants just a par-5 distance from the course, so staying here makes your golf holiday as easy as a gimme.

Thrill seekers and party animals are better suited to Edinburgh's city centre. If you like your golf holiday with swing oil, embarrassing dancing, lively nightclubs, and early morning finishes, then Edinburgh is your answer. It's just 20.2 miles away and it's 100% guaranteed successful nightlife.
