Top hint for this course

We've got a tip for a possible birdie. On the 11th, the wide fairway is begging for a big drive off the tee box. Clear some yardage, take an extra club for the second shot, and avoid the bunkers to the left and right.

Full Course Lowdown

Packed with heritage, 11 men first played golf on this land in 1786. Yep, it's the 7th oldest golf club in the entire world. Today, it has hosted the 2018 Ladies Senior Open Amateur Championship and the Scottish Amateur Championship.

Follow in the footsteps of golf legends and soak up the impressive history of the course, as well as the testing layout. Golf history gurus will simply love this.

Course

The opening hole demands a tee shot favouring the left side on this generous green. If you hit the bunker protecting the dancefloor, it'll be a nightmare, it's a beast.

A par-4 on the 7th but a rather short one where the second shot can be difficult. Play your approach just short of the green and the slope will assist you.

Hole 13 is an uphill par-3, leading towards an undulating dancefloor. Take an extra club to reach the pin, but be warned, it's not easy. Even a bogie is decent.

"The Road Hole" on the 17th begins on an elevated tee. Aim dead straight down the middle and then favour the left on your second shot. This will create the easiest approach to the green.

Now for the final hole. Another par-3, where you can easily bottle your lead. Aim for the left of the green as this feeds towards the pin.

Clubhouse

A favourite for golfers to stop by and enjoy a light bite while counting up the scorecards and dishing out forfeits for the losers.

Take your pick from the fine selection of local and international beers or wine-golf is thirsty work!

And because you absolutely killed that round, treat yourself to their famous pastries, tray bakes, or homemade sausage rolls.

If you're really hungry, line your stomach with a juicy burger or a classic fish and chips.
