Top hint for this course

Let's give you a tip for the 2nd. Drive and carry over the first left bunker as this provides the best angle for the approach to the dancefloor. Watch as your friends struggle going down the middle or right from the green!

Full Course Lowdown

A Top 100 Scottish links. It doesn't get more authentic than that-some may say the pinnacle of golf. The East Lothian terrain is perfect for challenging keen golfers, with undulating fairways, natural bunkers, and varied levels.

It's time to pack your clubs, grab all your mates and create your own history on these world-class greens.

Course

The opening hole is an easygoing start. A straight drive down the middle should see you ready to approach the flat, wide green. Then it's time to let your putting do the talking.

The 5th is a length par-3 at 197 yards, and it's rammed with 8 bunkers around the green. Select your club wisely and favour accuracy above all to succeed here.

Another that favours accuracy, is the start of the back nine. Favour the left-hand side to make the angle for the approach easier towards the right-hand side of the green.

The final hole holds a birdie opportunity. The undulating fairway makes this one difficult for those who cannot reach the green from the tee box, so take a cautious approach by driving down the left and avoiding the bunkers.

Clubhouse

A 19th hole fanatic's dream. Take your pick from two clubhouses (or let's be honest, just visit both) to enjoy a pint of celebratory swing oil for schooling your mates on the fairways.

If you worked up a hunger, and walking the Scottish terrain is no joke, then indulge in the clubhouse classics available to refuel and line your stomach. You might need it-Edinburgh is waiting!

The Location

Edinburgh Airport is located 28.9 miles from the course, and the local area is packed with hotels so sorting accommodation just a putting distance from the loop is a breeze.

The city centre of Edinburgh is 20.2 miles from the course. If you want a range of hotels for all budgets, right in the thick of it, it's a no-brainer. And that's without mentioning the swanky cocktail bars, bouncing nightclubs with booming music and cosy, traditional Scottish pubs.
