Top hint for this course
Let's give you a tip for the opening hole. From the tee aim towards the left bunker, hit the second shot right for a lay-up. From here, the approach is simple.
Full Course Lowdown
One of Scotland's top courses, so it comes as no surprise that it's had the pleasure of hosting several elite amateur tournaments. People hear Scotland and think links, but this heathland course competes near the top.
Pack your clubs, get the gang together, head over to one of golf's most famous areas and take on this round, suitable for all abilities.
Course
The 3rd hole, a par-3, challenges IQ for club selection. Anything overhit or under-hit will mean a difficult recovery, and anything left or right will hit the bunkers. Good luck!
A par-5 on the 6th features an elevated tee box for a downhill shot. Because of the bunkers, use three shots to complete this hole.
The start of the back nine features a dogleg left par-4. Be sure to approach the elevated green from the right side of the fairway for the easiest approach shot.
For the 12th, an uphill par-3 demands taking an extra club than usual. Anything right will hit the sand, so favour the left if you don't trust your accuracy.
To finish, a par-4 that requires a shot left of the fairway bunker on the right. Another elevated green demands more club than usual but beware of the left side because it's plagued with bunkers.
Clubhouse
A beautiful 19th featuring a balcony with sublime views, the perfect setting to discuss the action from the loop and sip your well-earnt pint.
The menu features the typical clubhouse classics, from club sandwiches to burgers, but they also include curry and pies for those craving something different.Players' Feedback
