Top hint for this course

Since you're the one dealing with the hassle of booking the trip, here's a little secret. The 6th is a lovely par-3 because of its large green. We recommend approaching this one with a long iron for the best chance of a par or birdie.

Full Course Lowdown

Tackle the "130th Best Course in Continental Europe" according to Golf World, and swing into action as you play your own Portuguese Masters on this European Tour course.

As it stands, it's the longest course in Portugal, so you can push your skills to the max and have a cracking time.

Course

Throughout the course, bunkers and pools are positioned cleverly to disrupt your drive up the fairways and approach shots for the greens. Whoever comes out on top deserves a pint from everybody at the 19th hole.

At the 1st, a wide fairway lies ahead of you. Kick-off with an accurate drive down the middle to set this hole up nicely, but be sure to aim for the right side of the green to avoid the bunker surrounding the left.

The 5th is recognised as one of the most difficult holes. This par-5 has an elevated green, three beaches guarding it and an out-of-bounds to the right when you drive off. There's a reason the Masters is held here. So, prove you can keep up with the pros.

The final hole doesn't ease up either we're afraid.

This par-4 has a huge water hazard to the left and several bunkers to the right. An accurate straight drive down the fairway should avoid these and set up an easier second shot.

Clubhouse

This 19th hole is perfect for gathering after the action. The relaxed atmosphere will make you feel at home as you sip ice-cold brews and get stuck into the international food menu.

From English breakfasts to Portuguese fish dishes, there's something for everybody's taste buds.

Analyse the action from the round, laugh at the slices and bunker blunders, and top up your tan under the Mediterranean sun on the terrace.

Handicap allowance: Men 28 / Ladies 36

The Location

Dom Pedro Victoria is located on the beautiful coast of the Algarve, only 25.7km from Faro Airport.

Dom Pedro Portobello is a cracking four-star hotel just 5.9km from the course, surrounded by awesome restaurants and bouncing bars for an absolute riot after the fairways.

Be sure to check out the golden sand, dip in the Mediterranean Sea during your downtime, and get stuck into the world-famous Algarve cuisine (we recommend the seafood).
