Top hint for this course
As you're the one booking the whole group trip, we'll tell you a secret. On the 7th it's best to favour the left slightly to move away from the woods on the right. The second shot is uphill, meaning that a mid-iron is best.
Full Course Lowdown
This traditional course managed to keep its unique aspects while taking on renovations from famous architect Robert Trent Jones.
It has made for an excellent course that presents many different challenges for duffers to seasoned pros.
There are many water hazards, bunkers, complicated doglegs. But if you put in the practice hours then no problem, right?
If you're looking to complete the best courses in the Algarve, you'll want to tick this one off.
Course
This lengthy 72-par round is not to be underestimated.
At the beginning, a beefy par-5 kick-starts the round. The left side of the fairway is the money shot as that gives the best chance of an easy second attempt.
On the 8th, it's renowned for being one of the most aesthetically pleasing holes. But don't let these looks deceive you - you must bring your best chipping skills to clear the water and get onto the dancefloor.
To close the round, a difficult par-4 with a dogleg left protects the green. Each side of the dancefloor is surrounded by bunkers; a par would earn a pint from each of the squad.
Clubhouse
The outdoor terrace for this 19th hole is the ultimate spot to chill after a competitive 18-hole.
Top up your tan whilst admiring the palm trees and blue skies. It's the perfect venue for the group's post-game analysis. Figure out who owes you a pint for that birdie bet.
