Top hint for this course

As you're handling the booking, we want to let you in on a secret tip about the course. This way, you'll be able to get ahead of your group. On the 1st, we recommend using your second shot as a lay-up. It'll set you up for a better chance of avoiding the bunkers guarding the dancefloor.

Full Course Lowdown

Dom Pedro Laguna takes inspiration from traditional links courses but includes many bunkers and water hazards. While it's a mix of traditional and new styles, it makes for a unique round.

The clue is in the name of the main feature of this one. 11 of the 18 holes feature water hazards throughout. Maybe some of the group will need a mulligan for driving into the water.

The quality of this course will guarantee a good round by all, even if the group send their balls swimming a few times.

Course

It's time to attack this unique course and all its different challenges. The 2nd is a par-3 with a downhill slope. Don't underestimate its length, as you'll need a big enough club to enter the dancefloor. If your accuracy is on point, then your short game can put this one to bed.

At the end of the front nine, accuracy is rewarded off the tee. This par-4 has a left-side bunker and a pool on the right. There is a bail-out left but overhitting could have you out-of-bounds.

The start of the back nine has an intimidating par-5 . An accurate drive and another longer shot should help you approach the green like a pro.

The 17th could be an absolute nightmare. Landing slightly in front of the green is costly and a slope threatens to roll the ball into the huge water hazard to the left of the dancefloor.

Clubhouse

After taking on one of the most unique courses in Vilamoura, it's time to sit down and have a laugh at the person who bottled the round on the 17th over an ice-cold Sagres.

This clubhouse is shared with the Millennium Course, so it has a guaranteed lively atmosphere full of golf fanatics. Kick back and relax whilst tucking into the finest of Mediterranean cuisine to line your stomach before hitting the town.

The Location

A night out in the Algarve: the Mediterranean sunset, beers on the beach and heading towards the Portuguese restaurant you booked. It's the best way to spend the evening after a round on the Dom Pedro Laguna loop. Your only problem will be choosing which bars and restaurants to attend.

The course is only 20km from Faro Airport. Travelling to bars and restaurants or booking nearby hotels is no problem and the Dom Pedro resort is slap-bang in the middle of the action, so it's an excellent location for you party legends.
