Top hint for this course
We're about to let you in on a secret tip for the course, as you're the one dealing with the faff of booking. The 7th is a dogleg right-to-left and it's uphill. Be sure to drive cautiously off the fairway to avoid the woods and bunkers. Even then, at the 2nd shot, you might not be able to see the green. An extra club will do the trick here as it's a lengthy par-4.
Full Course Lowdown
While it's called the "old course" make no mistake about it, the renovations have made it a force to be reckoned with. Its design includes premium greens and exciting fairways that are bound to grab your group's attention.
If you're in the Vilamoura area, you must try and tear it up. Your bucket list will be incomplete without a round here.
Course
Every fairway is surrounded by rows of towering trees. It will be fun to watch your lumberjack friend tee off.
The 1st holds a risk-and-reward drive off the tee. Try to save the big drive for another hole to set this one up nicely.
The next hole is the complete opposite and has a huge fairway. This one is for the scorchers.
The start of the back nine is a short par-3. Your drive should have complete control to avoid overhitting and missing the green or undercompensating and falling down the slope.
Clubhouse
Now for the best part - the 19th hole. A relaxing atmosphere, a beautiful terrace and a rewarding food and drinks menu are all waiting for your group. Look back at the action while tucking into a refreshing pint.
The wide range of cuisines on offer will mean everybody is satisfied. Even the fussy eaters. Its lively atmosphere will mean you find yourself a couple of beers down.
