Top hint for this course
As you're the one faffing with the booking process, we thought we'd share a tip for the course. On the 8th, although it may be tempting to give the drive some welly, give it some thought. Drive to the right to set up a sweet second shot, but avoid the slope that could increase the distance to the dancefloor.
Full Course Lowdown
This course famously contributed to making Algarve the golf holiday mecca. Surely that's enough to move it straight to the top of your list.
This loop rewards accuracy on the narrower fairways and big drives off the slightly wider ones.
All handicap-levels will get a buzz from this one.
It is recommended that while this can prove to be challenging, take a simplified approach to score less than the squad.
Course
Right from the get-go, the 2nd hole is a test of your long-distance accuracy. If the practice at the driving range pays off, you'll be on the dancefloor with little trouble.
Similarly, the 3rd needs a straight and accurate drive before hitting a simple approach shot.
On the 13th it's important to choose your club wisely. Over-clubbing might be necessary to get close to the dancefloor, there's a large body of water on this par-3.
The final hole of the loop is open, meaning you can showboat the distance of your drive. The second shot should favour the right side to avoid the water and set up an approach shot.
Then, let your putting game do the talking and put the round to bed.
Clubhouse
After a tense round of golf with the squad, aside from your victory over the rest of them, there's one thing on everybody's mind. The round of bevs at the clubhouse.
Laugh while looking back at the action from the loop over an ice-cold beer.
Enjoy an excellent meal from the diverse menu that caters for all. Sitting out on this balcony while refuelling is the relaxation you deserve after taking on one of Portugal's most famous courses.

The Location
The Dom Pedro Millennium course is only 25km from Faro Airport. From there, the course is right in the thick of it.
Vilamoura is crawling with a range of Mediterranean restaurants, gold sand beaches and lively bars open until late at night.
