Top hint for this course
How about a tip for the 5th? On this par-3, we recommend using a short iron from the tee. Aim for the centre of the green, as the slope will feed the ball towards the pin.
Full Course Lowdown
A legendary track. Not only has it hosted plenty of prestigious events, but the multi-million-euro practice facilities encourage golfers to flock to Sotogrande year in and year out.
It's time to follow in the footsteps of many legendary pros who have teed off here and find out who would win your very own Spanish Open.
Course
The opener, a par-5, features a classic dogleg left. Those with a big swing will cut the dogleg with ease if they aim for the centre of the fairway.
At the second par-3, on the 7th, use the slope to your advantage. Aim for the right side of the green for the best chance for a birdie and be sure to avoid the left side with the bunker.
With a risk-reward hole at the end of the front nine, big hitters will thrive. Shoot for the bunker on the left to leave a short iron approach shot to the dancefloor. Not a big hitter? Aim down the centre for a cautious approach.
The 13th is a short par-4. Aim for the right side of the fairway, as this creates the best approach to the pin. Anything that misses the dancefloor to the right will be punished; favour the centre.
Watch it, the finishing hole is in front of the clubhouse-don't bottle it now! Favour the left of the fairway on this tricky par-4; this will allow for the best approach angle. Sink the putt, bow to the round of applause from the 19th decking and grab a celebratory pint.
Clubhouse
We hope you've got your best gear on-this swanky 19th hole serves gastro-style food which will go beyond satisfying your cravings after walking the fairways.
Whether you want some international dishes or local cuisine, it's all up for grabs. This applies to the drinks selection, various brews, cocktails, or local wines. What's your tipple?
