Top hint for this course
How about a tip for the 6th? It's a par-4 hole where the distance is deceiving. The uphill shot means you should aim for distance towards the green, with a shot favouring the right being the most advantageous.
Full Course Lowdown
La Canada doesn't get the props it deserves. Many focus on the surrounding courses, while this one is not only aesthetically pleasing but an exciting challenge for a group of mixed-ability golfers to try.
The fairways are short, and the greens are quick, providing a fair test for those with short drives, and those with a delicate putting game. Precision is needed here. Get the gang together for an awesome round.
Course
Beginning with a par-4, carry over the lake to land in prime position on the fairway. The approach is straightforward-not much distance to the pin-attack the green and prepare for a possible birdie. A birdie on the first hole… that earns a pint from the gang, surely?
The 5th is a par-5 with a harsh dogleg left. Tee towards the centre left to prepare for the second shot where the fairway narrows. Favour accuracy for the approach, only a straight shot will do to avoid the tree-lined fairway. Lumberjacks beware.
Hole 11 is a par-3, with a harshly narrow and uphill fairway. It's not the easiest, but a careful shot between the tree-lined fairway should avoid hitting the bark. Just watch out for that bunker to the right of the green.
The penultimate hole is a picturesque par-3. A large body of water complicates the fairway; lay up before the water for a safe approach shot to carry over the water and land on the dancefloor.
Clubhouse
First-class service and stunning facilities make this 19th hole a favourite among visitors.
You'll feel right at home in this Spanish-style restaurant, where you can enjoy quality Mediterranean cuisine and your favourite Spanish beer. It's got to be Estrella.
