Top hint for this course
How about a tip for the end of the front nine? We recommend being cautious about your approach to the dancefloor, so hit a lay-up shot rather than attempting from a distance.
Full Course Lowdown
Quinta de Cima is Quinta da Ria resort's gem. This championship course was built for tournaments, and while the layout is testing, even beginner golfers can attack the course and enjoy the challenges.
It requires careful navigation, from undulating greens to doglegs, and plenty of hazards, you will improve as you play. Hit the fairways with the gang and check it out.
Course
The opener, a par-5, has strategically placed bunkers halfway. If you're a big hitter, carry straight over. If you're not, land before the sand for an easier second shot. Be sure to approach the dancefloor from the right, as the bunkers crowd the front and left.
A par-3 on the 8th holds a risk-reward shot. Will you go for the pin and risk hitting the sand? Or will you aim just before the sand for an easy chip shot? We'll let you decide.
On the 12th, the bunkers are a nightmare (that friend who can't avoid sand is in trouble). Aim between the middle two bunkers before cautiously approaching the well-protected green. It's not easy.
Now for the 16th. Aim between the three bunkers before navigating the water or carrying over it. Can you avoid the drink? Anything over-hit or under-hit will find trouble.
To finish, the 18th is similar to the 16th, but with a dogleg, so bring your a-game on the final fairway. Choose your club carefully and take your time. You can't start the trip with a loss!
