Full Course Lowdown
The best course, in the golf holiday Mecca, the Algarve.
Ranking highly in Golf World's Continental Europe top 100, as far as we're concerned this might be one of the best golf courses you'll play.
A top-tier loop, accessible for all-ability groups, and a true bucket-lister for anybody trying to conquer the Algarve's long list of premium rounds.

Course
The start features a dogleg right. An elevated tee allows big hitters an opportunity to cut the angle and leave a short iron approach. For the non-big hitters, aim at the left-hand corner to navigate.
Hole 7, a par-3, features a difficult dancefloor. Bunkers on either side with slopes will punish any inaccurate shots from the tee box.
At the end of the front nine, another par-3 where bunkers complicate the approach. Anything under-hit will land straight in the bunker; take an extra club.
A tricky par-4 on the 17th where accurate navigation is key. The dogleg right requires you to carry over the water and land in the generous space between the first group of bunkers. From there, take a long iron for the approach.
To finish, this par-5 requires a drive down the left, where the hills should push your ball forward. If your drive was strong, there's a possible birdie chance to close the round. What a way to finish.
Clubhouse
Here you'll understand the true meaning of VIP treatment.
After your round, you'll be escorted to the clubhouse. While you refuel and enjoy some beverages, your clubs will be cleaned for you and returned to your vehicle. It's no ordinary experience at Monte Rei.
Unwind while all the physical labour is handled for you. Kick back and relax, pint in hand, and enjoy the laughter and analysis from the round with the gang.

The course is located in the East Algarve at 64.5km away from Faro International Airport, so it's a cinch to head over once the flight has landed.
