Full Course Lowdown
This hilly course is stacked with history, being the first golf course in Tavira, built by the legendary Sir Henry Cotton.
Strategy and IQ will be tested. Prepare for a challenging round with awesome playability, swing into action, and leave your mark on the fairways.
Course
The 2nd is a straightforward par-3. There should be no trouble if you keep central and avoid the bunkers.
On the 5th, a par-5, take an extra club on the second shot to tackle the fairway's yardage and keep left to avoid the bunker right-side of the green.
At the end of the front nine, favour the right to avoid the central tree and create a simple second swing. A delicate approach is required, as anything over or under-hit will find the bunkers.
On the 11th, a lay-up is needed. The awkward distance, and the three front bunkers, demand a cautious approach to the dancefloor.
To finish, lumberjacks could have a howler. A meaty par-5 with trees dotted around the centre means navigation is important. Once you've cleared the trees, the fairway is open, so take advantage and finish strong.
Clubhouse
With ample space and plenty of seating, the atmosphere is always lively. Grab a Super Bock and head out to the terrace to top up your tan and enjoy the view of the course you conquered.
