Top hint for this course
Slicers beware! The 3rd fairway is tree-lined on either side. Hit a firm but accurate shot down the middle with a three-wood or hybrid for the best shot at a birdie.
Full Course Lowdown
Over the years, Inverness Golf Club has received contributions from the legendary James Braid. If a 5x Open winner and golf architect legend has helped--it's a killer course.
How will the gang handle this unique parkland course? Who will win your own Open in honour of Braid? Head to the Highlands and tackle this course with varied challenges.
Course
A forgiving par-4 starts the round. After rubbing your hands together at the sight of the wide fairway, open your shoulders and cover some serious yardage. Keep central for success.
The 7th par-3 features an out-of-bounds on the left. Favour the right, hit the green, and sink the putt, but don't be disappointed with a par.
Another par-3 ends the front nine, but don't get ahead of yourself, it's harsh. Carry over the drink and avoid the right-side bunker, take an extra club to guarantee distance.
The 14th is the signature hole. With the harsh dogleg right, awkwardly placed bunkers, and water to the right, accuracy is vital for navigation towards the pin. Play sensibly and a par is easy.
A lengthy par-4 with plenty of sand ends the round. Find the centre of the fairway, lay before the bunkers for the approach, and sink the winning putt.
Clubhouse
Inverness' 19th provides a fine dining experience, so the typical clubhouse sandwich and chips can wait. It's epic, whether you scran a juicy gourmet burger, or taste fresh Highland salmon.
Grab a well-earned pint of swing oil and boast to the gang about your winning scorecard.

The Location
Inverness Golf Club is at the centre of the action.
The city is crammed with hotels for all pockets, so finding accommodation suitable for the group budget is a cinch. Kingsmills Hotel is a cracking hotel in prime position.
On top of this, Inverness is rich in restaurants, cafés, bars, pubs, and clubs. Conquer the city and all the nightlife hotspots to celebrate your win on the fairways (queue the dad dancing).
At 7.1 miles away is the legendary Castle Stuart Links, the 89th-best golf course in the world. It would be rude not to tee off here… Plus, think of the bragging rights.
Conveniently close is Inverness Airport, 8.2 miles away, so you're just moments from dropping your bags off at the hotel and playing the first round.
