Top hint for this course
On the 5th, this short par-3 will require accuracy and careful club selection. Anything over-hit has the potential to hit the beach!
Full Course Lowdown
Set foot on ancient fairways, join golf history, and prepare for one of golf's most authentic rounds. The earthy terrain and deep bunkers create many issues. It can be a nightmare.
Are you worthy of the James Braid and Scottish Golf Championship course? Grab your clubs, organise a group of top-tier golfers, and get stuck in.
Course
Before you tee off, take advantage of the Trackman driving range! Check your stats beforehand.
The tee box is in front of the car park. No pressure. Use the open fairway and favour the left for the easiest path towards the dance floor.
A nasty dogleg left features on the 7th hole, but if you hit the far right of the fairway, this should remove it. On the second stroke, aim for the left of the green from a distance.
On the 9th, this 204-yard par-3 requires an extra club. Avoid the sand, and there's a birdie opp!
Hole 14, the stroke index 18 of the round, features an open fairway and a simple approach, so you can't mess it up here. Surely?
The 18th strangely closes on a par-3. To tackle this 211-yard hole, aim for the pin, and avoid anything left or right to dodge the bunkers.
Clubhouse
This classic 19th features an old-school interior, with welcoming staff and a laid-back atmosphere--the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a well-earned beverage.
The Braid's Restaurant menu is packed with heartwarming clubhouse classics, from breakfast baps to homemade beef burgers. Tasty.
