Top hint for this course
As you're the one dealing with the hassle of booking for the group, let's tell you about a top tip for the course. On the 14th, we recommend aiming for the right when you tee off. This sets up an easy approach shot to get ahead.
Full Course Lowdown
At a meaty 8,194 yards, this course is certainly on the longer side. But don't let this put you off. The Twenty Ten Course was constructed with the Ryder Cup in mind. It's the perfect chance to play your own Ryder Cup.
It's well-known as the best course in the Celtic Manor due to its action-packed playing style. We suggest you pack your best clubs for this one - you're going to need them. Get two groups together and have it out on this top-class loop.
Course
Water hazards feature on half of the holes. During the early holes, it has a similar style to a links course. The signature holes vary throughout as it presents new challenges and will keep you on your toes.
The 2nd is a rather straightforward hole. A par-5 with several bunkers layered across the fairway makes this long hole slightly deceiving.
Hole 5 is a dogleg right with bunkers on either side and a water hazard attempting to stop a birdie. Beat these by teeing off slightly to the left to angle up a sweet second shot.
The final hole is another beefy par-5 of 613 yards. A challenging mixture of water and bunkers on either side makes for a testing and tense end to the round.
Clubhouse
It's all about the 19th hole, isn't it? A clubhouse built for the Ryder Cup is a clubhouse built for champions. Sip a well-deserved ice-cold beer, and run over the scorecards, all while overlooking the 18th on a private balcony.
The bar is renowned for its buzzing atmosphere that's perfect for finishing off a round. Get stuck into what the delicious menu has to offer. There's plenty to choose from and who doesn't like a meal in front of an open fire in the winter?
