Golf in Morocco at a glance

Morocco golf holidays give you two very different trips. Marrakech is a golf and city break, with championship courses by Colin Montgomerie, Kyle Phillips and others on the edge of the city, the Atlas Mountains behind them and the souks and restaurants of the medina a short drive away. Agadir is a beach break on the Atlantic coast, with ocean-view courses, a long sandy beach and mild weather all winter.

Many of the hotels are all-inclusive, so the price covers your room, food, drinks and golf. We put the whole trip together: hotel, tee times and transfers, with small deposits and each golfer paying their own share.

Best golf resorts and hotels in Morocco

Hotels in Marrakech and Agadir that work well for golf groups, from all-inclusive resorts to 5-star golf hotels.

Morocco's best golf courses for groups

Marrakech

Marrakech's courses range from tree-lined parkland to open desert layouts, nearly all with the Atlas Mountains on the horizon. These are the ones our groups ask for most.

Agadir

Agadir's courses sit along the Atlantic coast, with sea breezes that keep things comfortable even in summer.

  • Taghazout Bay Golf Course: ocean views from almost every hole, right next to the Hyatt Place resort.
  • Golf du Soleil: a big golf complex next to Tikida Golf Palace, ideal for groups who want to stay and play.
  • Golf Les Dunes: 27 holes laid out through eucalyptus and tamarisk trees.
  • Golf de l'Ocean: 27 holes close to the coast, with plenty of water in play.

Planning a group golf trip to Morocco

We've organised group golf trips for over 24 years. Here's how a Morocco trip works with us:

  • Small deposits secure your tee times and rooms early, which matters in spring and autumn.
  • Individual payments mean each golfer pays their own balance. No chasing your mates for money.
  • One booking covers your hotel, tee times and airport transfers.
  • Flights are booked separately. Fly to Marrakech or Agadir and we'll sort everything once you land.
  • Golf societies are welcome. See our GroupiaGolf Society page.

Getting to Morocco

  • Marrakech: fly to Marrakech Menara, around 3 to 3.5 hours from London, with direct flights from most UK airports. The airport is close to the city and the courses.
  • Agadir: fly to Agadir Al Massira, around 3.5 to 4 hours from London. Taghazout Bay is about 45 minutes from the airport.
  • Transfers: airport transfers are included in our packages.
  • Before you travel: check passport and entry requirements on the FCDO travel advice page, and your airline's golf bag allowance.

Beyond the golf

Marrakech is a brilliant city for a group. Wander the souks and the Jemaa el-Fnaa square, visit the Jardin Majorelle, eat tagine and couscous in the medina, or relax in a traditional hammam after your round. On a rest day, take a trip into the Atlas Mountains to see the Berber villages.

Agadir is all about the beach: a long sandy bay with a seafront promenade, bars and restaurants. Taghazout, just up the coast, is a laid-back surf village, and the Souk El Had is one of the biggest markets in Morocco.

"Groupia are amazing! They took the stress out of me doing everything myself."

"Had a great time and the booking process was easy and straightforward!"

"Would definitely recommend using Groupia to arrange similar events."

"I had a fantastic time booking the weekend away. 10/10 all the way through."

Morocco golf holiday FAQs

Yes. Marrakech and Agadir both have championship courses close to the hotels, reliable sunshine for most of the year and good-value all-inclusive hotels. Add the souks of Marrakech or the beach in Agadir, and it's one of the best group golf trips you can take from the UK.

Marrakech has the biggest choice of courses, including Royal Golf Marrakech, Al Maaden and The Montgomerie, plus the city for your evenings. Agadir is the pick for a beach break, with Taghazout Bay, Golf du Soleil, Les Dunes and Golf de l'Ocean all close to the coast.

Our Morocco golf packages start from £389pp for 3 nights all-inclusive with 2 rounds at Hotel Du Golf by Pickalbatros in Marrakech. In Agadir, 3 nights with 2 rounds starts from £429pp at Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay, and 5 nights with 4 rounds from £715pp at Tikida Golf Palace. Longer Marrakech breaks run from around £589pp to £920pp. Flights are booked separately.

Green fees in Morocco vary a lot by course and season, and the top courses charge more in spring and autumn. It's usually cheaper to book a package with your rounds included than to pay on the day. We'll price the courses you want when we build your trip.

It depends on the trip you want. Marrakech has more courses, more hotels and the city for your evenings. Agadir is a beach break on the Atlantic, with ocean-view courses like Taghazout Bay and milder weather in summer. See our Marrakech and Agadir golf holidays to compare.

Many are. Many of the hotels we use are all-inclusive, including Hotel Du Golf, Iberostar Waves Club Palmeraie, Jaal Riad and Be Live Collection in Marrakech, and Robinson Club Agadir and Iberostar Waves Founty Beach in Agadir. Some, like the Fairmont Royal Palm in Marrakech and Tikida Golf Palace in Agadir, are bed and breakfast.

March to May and September to November: warm, dry and comfortable for golf. June to August is very hot, often close to 40°C, so tee off early. December to February is mild and sunny in the day but cool in the evenings in Marrakech; Agadir stays milder. It's also good value.

Choose Morocco for a city break with your golf: Marrakech's souks, restaurants and nightlife are minutes from the courses. Choose Turkey for beach resorts with courses next door. Both are great all-inclusive options. See our Turkey golf holidays to compare.

Around 3 to 3.5 hours from London to Marrakech, and 3.5 to 4 hours to Agadir, with direct flights from most UK airports. Airport transfers are included in our packages.

No. Our prices cover your hotel, golf and airport transfers. Book flights separately to Marrakech or Agadir, and we'll take care of everything once you land.

Some Marrakech courses ask for proof of handicap, and a few set a maximum. Bring your certificate or have your handicap app ready. We'll tell you the rules for each course when we build your trip.

Yes, societies are what we do best. We hold tee times and rooms on a small deposit, and each golfer pays their own balance. See our GroupiaGolf Society page or send us your group's details.
