Agadir - The Ultimate Golf Travel Guide
Agadir is Morocco’s beach and golf resort, with year-round sunshine, a long sandy bay and four quality courses within a short drive of the hotels. Where Marrakech gives you desert views and the souks, Agadir gives you sea breezes, eucalyptus-lined fairways and dinner on the seafront. It suits groups who want warm weather golf in the middle of the British winter without a long haul flight.
Our Agadir golf holidays start from £429pp for three nights and two rounds, with return airport transfers included. Stay on the course at the Tikida Golf Palace, above the ocean at the Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay Resort, or all-inclusive at the Robinson Club Agadir. We arrange tee times, transfers and accommodation, so your group just turns up and plays. Explore more golf in Morocco or speak to our team about building a trip around your dates.

Why Golfers Travel to Agadir
The weather is the big draw. Agadir has around 300 days of sunshine a year and winter afternoons are usually in the low 20s°C, which makes it one of the warmest places to play golf in a short flight from the UK.
The golf is good value and easy to reach. Most courses are 15 to 30 minutes from the main hotel zone, green fees are lower than the Algarve or southern Spain, and a full week with four rounds starts from £715pp at the Tikida Golf Palace.
There is plenty for non-golfers and for the evenings too. The seafront promenade, the Souk El Had market, camel rides on the beach and the surf village of Taghazout are all close by, and the Moroccan food is a highlight of any trip.
The Best Golf Courses in Agadir
Golf du Soleil - Agadir’s largest golf complex has two courses, the Championship Course and the Tikida Course, and sits right next to the Tikida Golf Palace, so you can walk from your room to the first tee. Wide fairways, palms and water features make it a friendly test for mixed ability groups.
Golf Les Dunes - A 27-hole layout in three loops of nine, cut through eucalyptus and tamarisk woodland. It is one of the most popular courses in Morocco and a good choice for a society day.
Golf de l’Océan - Another 27-hole course, close to the coast, with three nines that each have their own character. Expect firm, fast conditions and a stiff breeze off the Atlantic in the afternoon.
Taghazout Bay Golf Course - the newest course in the area, set above the ocean north of Agadir near the surf village of Taghazout. Sea views on almost every hole make it the round most groups remember, and it sits in the same resort as the Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay.
When Is the Best Time to Play Golf in Agadir?
October to April is the main golf season. Days are warm and dry, with temperatures typically between 20°C and 25°C, and evenings are mild enough to eat outside.
Spring (March to May) is ideal for groups who like long days and slightly warmer weather. Summer is hot inland but the Atlantic keeps the coast cooler than Marrakech, so golf is still possible with early tee times. Ramadan dates move each year, so check them when you plan a trip, as some restaurants and bars change their hours.
Planning a Golf Trip to Agadir
A short break of three nights and two rounds is the easiest way to try Agadir, from £429pp at the Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay Resort or £439pp at the Tikida Golf Palace. Five nights and four rounds lets you play more of the area, and the Hyatt Place five-night package (from £799pp) includes Taghazout Bay, Les Dunes and l’Océan.
Choose your base by the trip you want. The Tikida Golf Palace puts you on Golf du Soleil, the Hyatt Place puts you next to Taghazout Bay in a quieter resort, and The View Agadir is a five-star option on the bay, close to the beach and restaurants. For larger groups, all-inclusive keeps the costs simple: the Robinson Club Agadir has packages from £499pp, and the Iberostar Waves Founty Beach is right on the seafront.
Combining Agadir with Marrakech is popular for longer trips: the drive between the two takes around three hours.
Travel Tips for Visiting Golfers
Flights - Agadir Al Massira Airport (AGA) has direct flights from several UK airports, taking around four hours. Return airport transfers are included in all our Agadir packages.
Passports - UK passport holders do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days. Check the latest FCDO advice before you book.
Money - The Moroccan dirham is a closed currency, so you will get it on arrival. Card payments are common in hotels and golf clubs.
Caddies - Some courses use caddies, and a tip at the end of the round is expected. Ask us about current rates.
Dress code - Normal golf dress applies. Away from the beach, dress a little more modestly in town.
Plugs - Morocco uses the European two-pin plug, so bring an adapter.
