Top hint for this course
The 8th is the longest on the course, at 501 yards--but don't let this deceive you, it's reachable in two strokes. Go for it.
Full Course Lowdown
Witness golf history. Brora Golf Course adds to the Highland's impressive and ancient links golf course collection.
Are you ready? Follow in the footsteps of 5x Open Winner James Braid, organise the gang, and discover how the game was meant to be played--links-style.
Course
A harsh dogleg right complicates the 1st. Drive towards the centre of the fairway from the tee and remove the angle for the second.
The 6th, a 174-yard par-3, features bunkers guarding the front of the dancefloor. Go straight for the pin but navigate the undulated green carefully.
At the end of the front nine is another par-3. Thankfully, it's slightly easier. Favour accuracy to avoid the bunkers on either side of the dancefloor.
Hole 11 tests your IQ. Will you lay up before the water or carry it? Will you lay up before the green or approach from a distance? We'll let you decide.
As a small par-70 round, it's no surprise that the closing hole is a par-3, a change from a par-5 finisher… Avoid the bunkers surrounding the green and you're in the money, don't slip up now!
Clubhouse
A classic 19th hole for a classic links course.
The scran is serious, whether you visit during lunch for a juicy burger and dirty fries or treat yourself to a slow-cooked duck ragout from the evening menu.
Wash it back with traditional Scottish ales or Scotch whiskey, and you have the perfect recovery meal, fit for a winner, and laugh at the bunker howlers from the round.Course Facilities
