Top hint for this course
Here's a tip for the 4th, a par-5 at 522 yards. With a birdie opportunity, aim short of the valley in front of the green for the best approach shot.
Full Course Lowdown
One of the many historic courses in the Highlands. Created by legendary architect James Braid, this course promises constant thrills with a combination of several layout styles.
Braid designed several holes along the coast, with others inland, so it's a complete variety of challenges. Grab the gang and tackle this unique loop.
Course
The opening hole features a dogleg left. Aim right of the first bunkers to open the path to the green, but don't over-hit, you risk hitting the road behind it.
Hole 3 is a straightforward par-4, measuring 360 yards. Hit the front right of the green to help your ball roll towards the pin. Simple.
At the end of the front nine, the rough and mounds cause trouble for any ropey shots off the tee box. Try to land just right of the flag in a prime position. Now for an easy putt, right?
On the 16th, club selection is vital. If you must, under-club, as it's best to under-hit on this 175-yard par-3 with a level-changing dancefloor. Harsh.
Closing the round is a tough par-4. Hit the right of the pole on the mound (you'll thank yourself for the 2nd stroke). This 2nd shot is horrendous; it's blind. Don't be disappointed with a bogey.
Clubhouse
This classic 19th hole covers all the essentials for golfers, whether you want a classic bacon roll and coffee to fuel your win or comforting Scottish classics to recover.
And you won't leave here thirsty. The bar boasts a wide range of drinks from local and international brews to authentic Scotch to warm your stomach. That's proper swing oil.
