Top hint for this course

On the par-3 10th, we recommend taking an extra club to avoid the front bunkers but beware, it's multi-tiered and unforgiving.

Full Course Lowdown

The Royal Dornoch Championship Course is special. The course is a household name, a pipedream for golf fanatics, but a reality with GroupiaGolf. Links golf doesn't get more authentic than this.

Seriously.

Battle the undulated terrain, and insanely deep bunkers, and soak up every second as you experience one of the world's elite fairways.

Course

Don't be intimidated by the links layout ahead, get stuck in and leave your mark.

The opener, a par-4 at 333 yards kicks things off in typical Scottish style: mounds and bunkers galore. Find the centre-left of the fairway on the first. The green is reachable in two. Good luck.

Hole 6 is a 161-yard par-3 with an infamously "magnetic" bunker. Great. If you avoid the sand, remember the dancefloor pushes balls to the right, so favour the left if possible.

At the end of the front nine of this historic masterpiece, any hooks will find the coast. Let's not lose that new Pro V1… Take caution when approaching the green, there are four bunkers.

The meaty par-4 on the 14th is a cruel test. Hit the centre of the fairway to ease the process, then use the second stroke to lay up before the dancefloor, as harsh mounds will make a long approach difficult.

To finish, a par-4 at 456 yards lies between you and the clubhouse. Surprisingly, it eases up. Find the middle from the tee box, then favour precision to land between the bunkers on either side.

Clubhouse

After taking on the 10th best course in the world, the pressure is high, so you deserve an informal dining experience to unwind. Royal Dornoch offers exactly that.

Overlook the insane Scottish links landscape, and the Highland coastal views, and indulge in fresh local cuisine. Will you enjoy the Dornoch beef burger or haddock and chips?

Knock it back with traditional Scotch, the perfect Scottish swing oil.
