Getting to St Andrews

By Air: Edinburgh Airport is the closest major airport -a 1hr 15 mins drive, Glasgow is around a 1hr 45 mins drive. Dundee Airport is even closer (25 mins) but does have limited flights. We can arrange group transfers from any.

By Road: 90 minutes from Edinburgh, 2 hours from Glasgow or 3 hours from Newcastle. Driving is straightforward via M and A roads, with the added benefits of easy club transport, a chance to stop at some top whisky distilleries, and the ability to explore the Fife coast when you're not on the course

By Train: Leuchars Station is just 10 minutes from St Andrews town. Trains run frequently from Edinburgh (1 hr), Glasgow (1 hr 45 mins), and London (5 hrs to Leuchars, often with changes at Edinburgh). We can arrange transfers from the station to your hotel or golf course.

St Andrews Weather: Best Time to Visit

St Andrews offers golf all year round, but the best time to play is May to September. Expect long daylight hours, mild temperatures, and courses in great condition. Summer (June-August): 15-20°C prime golf season. Spring/Autumn: 10-15°C quieter courses and value deals. Winter (November-March): Budget-friendly, but bring your waterproofs!
