Crail Golfing Society Craighead Links

Crail Golfing Society is hundreds of years old, but this course was built in 1999 with extra land purchased by the owners. It provides a unique challenge compared to the Balcomie Links and makes excellent use of the terrain.

With several stonewalls and bunkers with cruel depth; prepare for a testing round with the team and discover who has the skills to navigate this loop.

Course

The 5th, a par-3, requires confidence. Select your club carefully and aim for the centre of the green. Putting is tricky here from either side, so bring you're A-game.

Right before the end of the front nine, a straightforward par-5 invites a scorcher off the tee.  Clear the yardage but beware of the bunkers just left of the green; favour the right.

At the start of the back nine, this par-4 requires a shorter club than usual. Aim left off the tee to put the green within reach.

To finish, a par-4 at 457 yards requires a tee shot down the left of the fairway. This will avoid the bunkers to the right and allow your second shot to hit the front of the green, the most desirable approach shot.

Clubhouse

Just a heads up-you'll probably be in here for a while-the drinks and food selection are awesome. Sit down, unwind, and discuss the action from the fairways while tasting the selection of local and international beers, wine, or whiskey.

And this is without mentioning the food. The kitchen is famous for preparing heart-warming 19th-hole classics, so take your pick from the homemade tray bakes, pastries, and sausage rolls.
