Top hint for this course
The 6th, a par-3 at 166 yards requires accuracy. The fairway narrows around the green, meaning you should favour a layup shot before you approach the green, rather than aiming from the tee box.
Full Course Lowdown
An executive course is great for many reasons, it's a faster way of enjoying a round, a chance to improve on your short game, and approach game and it's a great chance for a beginner to enjoy an 18-hole round.
But don't underestimate it. At face value, it might sound easy, but this round is surprisingly challenging, so grab your golfing squad and enjoy this unique round.
Course
The opener is a narrow par-4, where accuracy off the tee box is favoured. The large green at the end only has two bunkers, avoid those and the approach will be a breeze.
The 4th is a straightforward par-3 at 123 yards. Hitting the green should be simple as the only bunker is slightly to the right beforehand. Can you get less than a dreaded 3-putt on this one?
Another par-3 at the 6th but with trees in the middle of the fairway. Aim slightly right of the centre to avoid the large tree and for the best chance of hitting the dancefloor.
On the 11th, a 288-yard par-4 features another narrow tree-lined fairway looking to punish any drives that aren't perfectly straight. The fairway opens towards the green, so it gets easier for the approach.
At the final hole, a harsh dogleg left hides the green. Bunkers and trees will cause the most trouble here, but with a tactical approach, it can be navigated.
Clubhouse
If you like traditional 19th holes with outdoor seating, plenty of cocktails, draught beers, and classic clubhouse menu favourites, then you'll feel right at home in this welcoming lounge.
Reward yourself with a club sandwich and chips to refuel after the round-it's deserved after that win. Count up the scorecards and analyse the action from the fairways while topping up your tan. If the English weather is acting up, then sit inside with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
