Sueno Golf Club Dunes Course

A classic attraction at this golfing resort. Many claim the Dunes Course is superior to the Pines Course, because of the many testing bunkers, trees, water hazards and a variety of challenges available.

For those mixed handicap groups, this course ticks every box, so get all the squad together, tee off and take on the fairways.

Course

Let's tee off with the 1st. An undulated fairway, a sharp dogleg left, and a sloped green to start (bit harsh if you ask us). Play this with complete accuracy from the tee to begin strong and cut the dogleg out.

The 3rd doesn't ease up. Tee off from the left to put the green in sight. Do you have the drive in your locker to reach in one? If not, carefully drive between the bunkers for an easy layup to a fairly large green.

Short hitters beware! The 8th requires carrying the water while avoiding the lake to the left just after. If your accuracy paid off, hit a right-to-left shot to hit the dancefloor.

On the 14th, a par-4, mounding causes a headache. Firstly, favour the right of the fairway to avoid the bunkers and remove the dogleg. An accurate approach is then needed for an elevated green.

What a finisher! This par-4's undulated fairway rolls towards an island green. And to make it worse, you've got a crowd with the clubhouse overlooking you. Don't hit the water, or you won't hear the end of it when you grab some swing oil!
