Top hint for this course

On the 3rd, overhitting could add to the scorecard. The back of the dancefloor is plagued with bunkers, a tree, and if you manage to overhit far enough, water. You're best laying up for a hazardless approach.

Full Course Lowdown

Truly one of Europe's top courses, let alone just Turkey. A great deal of history has blessed these fairways; with two Turkish Senior Opens in 1996 and 1997 occurring shortly after the club opened.

Although the National Golf Club is a tournament-hosting loop, it's perfect for a mixed-ability group to enjoy together. It's time to write your history on this course-who will win your group's Open?

Course

The opening hole is a par-5 with a dogleg left. Navigate your way around the bend, place the dancefloor in sight, and cautiously approach. It's a well-guarded green. We can't have you hitting a bunker on the first hole, can we?

A picturesque island green is a complete test of accuracy on the 2nd. Select your club carefully, or you'll need to ask the group for a mulligan for hitting the water.

The 8th also brings water into play. Carry over the initial lake onto the narrow fairway, avoid the bunkers, and angle up the approach to the fairly large green. Anything left will add to the scorecards because of hazards.

Another dogleg on the 17th hides the dancefloor. An accurate yet firm drive down the fairway should clear some yardage while avoiding the tree-lined fairway. Now with the green within reach, accurately land towards the back to avoid the bunkers.

Clubhouse

A classic 19th hole offering a luxurious yet comforting atmosphere and interior to sit down and enjoy a well-deserved ice-cold pint under the Mediterranean sun. If you wish to escape the sun, the spacious layout indoors still provides a stunning view of the course.

And the menu here is spot-on. Hearty breakfasts for the dawn patrol and comforting meals for those finishing for the afternoon; all bases are covered with the kitchen's local and international dishes.
