Top hint for this course

Here's a tip for the start of the back nine. This uphill par-3 can be tricky, so club selection is vital. Take an extra club, as it's better to over-hit than under-hit, as anything short will make the approach tough.

Full Course Lowdown

Often wrongfully overlooked because of Ailsa, this second course is packed with exciting challenges, so you can't leave these fairways untouched. Every hole is unique.

With plenty of bunkers, risk-reward shots, and complex greens-it guarantees to test the seasoned pros and beginner duffers. Organise a group, grab your clubs, and hit the fairways!

Course

An unforgiving start, so bring your a-game from the get-go. Carry the left-side bunker for an open second shot and favour the left on the approach to avoid the sand trap on the right.

The 4th, a par-4, is a test of accuracy. It's bunkers galore, so don't be afraid to use an extra stroke to avoid the sand. Hit the back of the green (it's large), as this avoids the two deep links bunkers at the front.

What a view. The 9th fairway sits on the coast edge, and the scenery might inspire a bold decision. Will you carry over the rocks or use an extra shot to navigate the track? It's up to you.

On the 14th, a dogleg left hides the dancefloor. Favour the fairway's centre, avoid bunkers to the right, and land with plenty of space for the second shot.

To close the round, a par-5 with a dogleg left causes a headache for any ropey tee shots. Favour the right and set up an easy second shot. Be careful with the approach-you have an audience.

Clubhouse

A top-tier 19th. From the biggest proshop in Europe to the fine dining restaurant and welcoming atmosphere, "The Duel in the Sun" will live long in your memory.

After teaching your friends a lesson on the fairways, you deserve a legendary meal to match. Why not order the surf and turf? As well as this, there are plenty of clubhouse menu classics.
