Overview

Welcome to Western Gailes Golf Club, an iconic Scottish links course in beautiful Ayrshire. Since opening in 1897, Western Gailes Golf Club has provided golfers with an authentic links golf experience-combining tradition, breathtaking scenery, and natural hazards. It's a must-play for every links enthusiast!

The Course

Western Gailes Golf Club is a challenging yet rewarding par 71 course stretching approximately 7,014 yards (6,412 meters) from the championship tees. The layout is pure classic links, complete with rolling dunes, strategic bunkers, and pristine greens. As you navigate this natural terrain, you'll enjoy spectacular views across the Firth of Clyde-simply stunning!

Signature Holes

Hole 7 - Par 3 ("Sea")

Prepare yourself-this short but testing par 3 demands precision. With a green protected by deep bunkers and the sea breeze always in play, accuracy is key. Make par here, and you've truly earned it.

Hole 17 - Par 4 ("Ridge")

A memorable hole! This challenging par 4 requires a confident tee shot to a fairway flanked by dunes. Your second shot is uphill with anything short being in bother. Successfully navigating this hole provides a real sense of achievement.

The Clubhouse

After your round, relax in the welcoming clubhouse at Western Gailes Golf Club. You'll find warm Scottish hospitality, delicious local cuisine, and panoramic views of the course. Whether recounting your round or simply unwinding, the clubhouse perfectly complements your golf experience.
