Top hint for this course

On the 8th, favour the right side of the green with a mid-iron to make the putt easier. Anything left is an uphill putt.

Full Course Lowdown

Gleneagles King's Course is steeped with history, having hosted the original, informal Ryder Cup between Britain and the USA, where James Braid's team took the win for Britain.

The track is legendary with punishing hazards, unique fairways, and a picturesque landscape. Can you tackle this testing terrain? Find out and play your own Ryder Cup.

Course

The dancefloor is elevated on the opener, so favour the right side of the fairway for the easiest approach angle. Watch out for that nasty front bunker.

Hole 5, a par-3, is an absolute nightmare. Land on the dancefloor for a great start, but we have bad news. There's no easy landing position. Good luck.

Now for the 9th. Favour the left of the fairway for a strong start before carrying over the front bunkers to find the green, with anything right successful.

On the 12th, a blind tee shot waits. Aim for the centre of the fairway, followed by a second shot towards the back of the green. Anything under-hit could find the bunkers.

To finish is a par-5 at 525 yards with a large green. Again, front bunkers guard the dancefloor, so choose your clubs carefully for the final approach. Don't slip up now!

Clubhouse

The Dormy is everything a 19th hole should be. It features a cosy interior, an open fire, a vibrant atmosphere, and a wide range of heartwarming meals, from grill classics and curry to pizza.

Of course, compliment this with a local whiskey or ale and kickstart the beverages with your friends. Now that's an iconic way to finish golf.

The Location

Stay at Gleneagles Resort, the ultimate golf playground, right on your doorstep, with insane facilities and an endless itinerary.

On-site are two other courses, the PGA Centenary Course, and the Queen's Course. Which of these incredible fairways will you conquer first with the gang?

The local town, Auchterarder, is 2.8 miles away. Head here for cafes, restaurants and bars, and soak up the culture.

Murrayshall Golf Course is 23.9 miles away if you fancy mixing it up.

On top of this, Edinburgh Airport is 48.7 miles from the resort, so it's best to have a taxi or transfer booked once you land to drop you there and sidestep any stress.
