The 3rd features a harsh dogleg with a narrow fairway. Aim centrally and land at the dogleg for the easiest path towards the dancefloor. On the second, favour the back of the green to avoid the bunker.

Full Course Lowdown

La Zagaleta New Course is one of Marbella's most underrated fairways, combining unique holes and varied challenges. We highly recommend this course if you're visiting.

Every aspect of your game will be tested. Grab your clubs, organise a group, and find out who has the skills to win the group tournament.

Course

The 2nd is a straightforward par-3 (if you're decent at carrying water). Use your expert knowledge to select the best club, anything under-hit finds the drink, and anything over-hit finds the trees.

Prepare to cover some serious yardage on the 5th. This par-5 is 582 yards, with a winding fairway in the first half. Hit a scorcher, carry the bunker on the second and chip onto the green.

To close the front nine is a simple par-4 at 345 yards, with few hazards--lay-up before the left side bunker for an easy approach shot.

You can't slip up on the 12th. The only threats are the trees and bunker at the back of the green, so aim for the front to set yourself up for an easy putt. Simple.

To finish, the clubhouse overlooks the green. No pressure. Remove the dogleg left by hitting the right of the trees, then enjoy an open second shot. Keep left to avoid the green side bunkers.

Clubhouse

Possibly the most picturesque 19th hole in Spain, this place boasts sublime views, a cosy interior, and a lively bar/restaurant.

Grab an ice-cold Estrella, kick back on the terrace, soak up the Mediterranean sun, and overlook the course you conquered. This is what golf is meant to be.
