Overview
Verdura Links Course is one of the finest golf experiences in Italy. Set on Sicily's sun-drenched southwest coast at Verdura Resort, it winds through olive and orange groves with no buildings in sight - just fairways, fescue and the sparkling Mediterranean. If you're planning a golf trip to Sicily, Verdura Links Course is a must-play!
The Course
Designed by renowned architect Kyle Phillips and opened in 2009, Verdura Links Course measures 6,763 metres (7,396 yards) from the back tees and plays to a par of 73. Following flood damage, Phillips returned to oversee a full restoration of the course, so conditions are excellent.
It's the more undulating and varied of Verdura's two courses. Expect rolling fairways, strategic bunkering and greens that reward a sharp short game. The back nine is the star of the show - we think it's one of the best stretches of golf in Europe!
Signature Holes
Hole 6 - Par 4
Verdura Links' signature hole, and what a setting! Water lines both sides of the fairway and a bunker waits on the right, so placing your tee shot is crucial. The undulating green is guarded by two bunkers and water at the front, with the beach and lapping waves just behind. Breathtaking!
Hole 12 - Par 3
A long par 3 set along a ridge top, with a simple, beautiful design that's tougher than it looks. Make a par here, and you've earned a smile; it's one of the hardest short holes you'll play.
The Clubhouse
The clubhouse at Verdura Links Course is a stylish, traditional Sicilian building, home to the Golf Club Lounge, the perfect spot for a coffee before your round or a cold drink afterwards, with views across the course.
With the resort's restaurants, spa and private beach just moments away, everything is built around a relaxing, first-class golf break.
