Overview
Elea Estate Golf Club is widely regarded as the best golf course in Cyprus. Designed by six-time major champion Sir Nick Faldo, it sits on high ground just a few minutes from Paphos, with the Mediterranean sparkling below. It's natural, strategic and beautifully kept. If you only play one course on the island, make it Elea Estate Golf Club!
The Course
Designed by Sir Nick Faldo and opened in 2010, Elea Estate Golf Club measures 6,775 yards (6,195 metres) from the back tees and plays to a par of 71. It covers around 120 acres of rolling countryside, weaving between carob and olive trees and weathered limestone outcrops.
Faldo designed each hole as a strategic riddle. Choose your line well, and the course rewards you. Get greedy, and it bites back! Dark green paspalum fairways contrast beautifully with the native grasses and wild herbs in the rough, and the course was built to use minimal water. It's walkable too, though buggies are available.
Signature Holes
Hole 9: Par 5
The ultimate risk and reward hole. A large lake sits close to the green on the right, so going for it in two means carrying the water. Prefer to play safe? There's plenty of room to lay up left. Your call!
Hole 11: Par 3
A short hole that can play long when the wind gets up. A large bunker guards the left side of the green, so pick your club carefully and aim for the middle. Walk off with a par and you've done well.
The Clubhouse
The clubhouse at Elea Estate Golf Club sits at the highest point of the property, with panoramic terraces looking over the course and the Mediterranean. Inside you'll find a lounge, a library, fireplaces, a pro shop and food and drink ranging from international favourites to traditional Cypriot meze.
There's even a halfway house on the way to the 10th tee for a cold lemonade. Allow plenty of time after your round to relax and enjoy the views!

The Location
Elea Estate Golf Club is located in Geroskipou, on the southeast edge of Paphos and just two kilometres from the coast. Paphos International Airport is only around 8 km away, so you can be on the first tee soon after landing. The historic harbour, beaches and restaurants of Paphos are about five minutes' drive, and PGA National Cyprus, Secret Valley and Minthis are all close by, making it the perfect base for a Cyprus golf break.
