Enniscrone Golf Club offers the ultimate links experience in North West Ireland and an enjoyable round for all skill levels.
Expect harsh rough, pot bunkers, testing weather conditions, and hilly terrain. Shane Lowry highly recommends Enniscrone, but can the gang dominate this true test of golf?
The club boasts extensive practice facilities, including a driving range and practice area to loosen your shoulders and a top clubhouse for a relaxing meal afterwards.
On the opener, a par-4, favour the left of the fairway to present the green for the second shot--but prepare for a narrow approach.
Accuracy is essential to find the dancefloor, so bring your A-game.
On the 11th, carry the mounds for an uphill shot towards a large green. At 170 yards from the back tee, take an extra club to cover the distance and gradient.
To end the back nine is a 465-yard par-4. If you have a big drive in your locker, beware of the bunkers halfway; they often catch people out.
The left side is out of bounds, so steer clear to avoid adding a penalty to your scorecard.
