Overview
La Manga Club West Course is completely different from its sister courses. Tucked away in the hills a short drive from the main resort, it's wilder, quieter and more dramatic. Pine trees frame the fairways, the land rises and falls, and the views just keep getting better. If you love a challenge and a sense of adventure, La Manga Club West Course could be your favourite round of the trip!
The Course
Designed by English professional Dave Thomas, La Manga Club West Course measures 5,714 metres (6,249 yards) from the white tees and plays to a par of 72. It sits on an elevated, wooded site with frequent changes in elevation, blind shots and narrow fairways bordered by gullies.
Distance isn't the key here. Course management is. The greens are quick, the slopes are severe, and the back nine is a real test. Keep the ball in play, trust your yardages, and you'll be rewarded with a round and views to remember.
Signature Holes
Hole 9 - Par 4
An uphill tee shot sets up an approach that turns sharply into a ravine, with a lake waiting behind the green. Be precise with your second shot - long is not your friend!
Hole 18 - Par 4
A brilliant finale. From an elevated tee, you'll need a carry of around 200 yards over a small hillside, with sweeping views over the countryside to the Mediterranean. Pure drama - and a fantastic way to end your round!
The Clubhouse
La Manga Club West Course has its own relaxed clubhouse, with a friendly atmosphere and terrace views across the course. It's the perfect spot to refuel at the turn or celebrate after a hard-fought round.
With the main La Manga Club resort, the Grand Hyatt and its restaurants just a short drive away, you get the best of both worlds.

The Location
La Manga Club West Course sits in the hills a short drive from the heart of La Manga Club, a 1,400-acre resort near Los Belones in the Region of Murcia, on Spain's Costa Cálida. Region of Murcia International Airport is around 40 minutes away by road, and Alicante Airport is roughly an hour and a quarter so transfers are quick and easy. The Mar Menor lagoon, Mediterranean beaches and the historic port city of Cartagena are all close by, and with over 300 days of sunshine a year, it's one of Europe's most reliable golf break destinations.
