/ppOverview
La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club is one of the most distinctive golf experiences in Mauritius. Dramatic, exposed and visually spectacular, La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club is the first and only contemporary links-style course in the Indian Ocean, with panoramic ocean views from every hole. It feels different straight away. Wilder. Bolder. More strategic.
Co-designed by Louis Oosthuizen and Peter Matkovich, this par-72 championship layout opened in late 2023 and has already built a serious reputation. For golfers planning a premium Mauritius trip, La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club offers something rare: true links character, tour-hosting pedigree, and a setting that is hard to beat.
The Course
La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club is built for thoughtful golf. Rolling fairways, rugged bunkering, firm running surfaces and coastal winds all combine to create a course where creativity matters just as much as power. You cannot just stand up and hit the same shot all day. That is the beauty of it!
The layout flows across elevated terrain in Bel Ombre, with the routing working hand in hand with the natural landforms. Every hole has a sense of drama. The ocean is always there, and the exposed setting means conditions can change quickly, adding another layer of challenge. La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club is not only scenic, it is properly engaging from the first tee to the last putt.
Signature holes
Hole 1 (Par 5) - The opener is one of the course's most memorable moments. Starting from the highest point of the property, it immediately introduces the scale and theatre of La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club.
Hole 18 (Par 4) -The last is the other standout. As the course falls towards its closing point, the final hole feels like a proper finish, not an afterthought. With the wind in play and the natural contours shaping decisions, it is exactly the kind of closing hole you want on a championship links course.
The Clubhouse
The clubhouse experience at La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club adds to the premium feel of the day. Golfers have access to a stylish clubhouse environment, practice facilities and a well-equipped shop, all designed to support the full golfing experience rather than just the round itself.
That matters on a golf holiday. We want great golf, of course, but we also want the day to feel complete. At La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club, the combination of elite course design, striking scenery and polished off-course facilities gives golfers exactly that.

The Location
La Reserve Links at Heritage Golf Club is set on the dramatic south coast of Mauritius, within the unspoilt Bel Ombre estate. This part of the island is known for its raw, natural beauty, less developed, more rugged, and perfectly suited to a links-style layout. The course sits elevated above the Indian Ocean, delivering uninterrupted coastal views and a constant sea breeze that shapes play. Despite its secluded feel, it is just a 45-minute drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, making it easily accessible for travelling golfers.
