Top hint for this course
Let's give you a tip for the 5th. The best drive will land slightly left, as the fairway slopes to the right towards the water hazard. It's narrow, so maybe a hybrid is best.
Overview
Cabopino might be Costa del Sol's most underrated course. Clean your hybrid and irons because you'll be using them a lot. Leave your driver behind.
We've not seen harsher fairways. Grab all the gang and discover who's the most accurate off the tee box. This one's tough.
Course
On the 1st, drive down the centre-left to avoid the water. Towards the end, the green is small, so approach with accuracy, as anything over-hit will find the bunker.
The 7th is the first par-3 of the course, but it's no walk in the park. A bunker guards the front, with an out-of-bounds at the back, so consider your approach carefully. It's best to hit short.
At the end of the front nine, this uphill hole is slightly wider. Try to cover some yardage, as a shorter approach is easier. Use an extra club, as the green is two-tiered and surrounded by bunkers.
The 17th features a dogleg left. Hit the centre of the field and enjoy a short second shot to the green. Be careful, don't hit the bunkers and bottle it!
Now the pressure is on. Avoid the water with a drive down the centre and decide between the risk-reward shot or safety. Will you go for glory on the dancefloor or hit a lay-up shot? The decision is yours, but the game depends on it.
