Full Course Lowdown
Saunton East Course is one of England's best-kept secrets. This classic links layout is an exciting test and has hosted the English Amateurs and the R&A Boys Amateurs.
Can you avoid the sand dunes? Find out if the gang can tackle this testing course, start practising, and swing into action.
Course
The opener is a par-4 at 470 yards from the back tee. Open your shoulders to reach the fairway, avoid the left-side bunkers, and land in pole position for the second shot.
Hole 3 features a slight dogleg left, so set up the best second shot by aiming right of the first fairway bunkers.
A similar navigation to the 3rd is needed at the end of the front nine, so there are no excuses for this one. Layup just before the right bunker for the easiest approach.
The 13th is simple. It's 154 yards, so use a short or mid iron, and keep central to avoid the sand. What could go wrong?
To finish the round, a harsh dogleg right needs clearing. Cover the distance with your driver, cut off the angle, and prepare for a straightforward second shot to the pin. Easy stuff.
Clubhouse
This is a classic 19th hole. You're guaranteed a welcoming space to unwind, whether you kick back and relax on the terrace or grab a seat indoors and discuss the action.
