Top hint for this course
On the 14th, a par-4, it's best to aim for the front of the green. Anything over-hit will land in the ashy sand or between trees, making the approach difficult. Under club if necessary.
Full Course Lowdown
Tenerife is packed with gems, and Amarilla Golf Club is exactly that. The undulating terrain creates a challenging yet exciting round that most handicaps will find enjoyable.
From the seasoned pro to the beginner duffer, anybody can get stuck into this round, so grab your clubs and play your very own Open de Tenerife.
Course
Prepare for a par-5 on the opener. Time to make the driving range practice count, so open up your shoulders and cover some yardage. After a firm drive, a long iron should reach the green, then let your putting do the talking.
On the 4th, the weight of your approach shot is vital. Anything overhit will find the Atlantic Ocean, so choose your club wisely.
For the 13th, favour the right side of the fairway and approach from the right. The two bunkers make the left a no-go, so maintain accuracy and avoid the left altogether.
The par-3 on the 17th is straightforward. Hit the dancefloor and sink the putt. If you walk away with a par, result!
To finish is a par-5, where you must clear the volcanic ash sand before you hit the fairway. On the second, favour the left. The green is generous, it's a nice finish, so you can't slip up.

Overlook the 1st, the start of your winning round, and top up your tan on the terrace. This place is a dream.
