Top hint for this course
Here's a tip for the start of the back nine. Carry directly over the first bunker on the right; you'll land in prime position for the approach to the pin.
Full Course Lowdown
A tournament hosting loop in the home of golf-it's hard to imagine a holiday that tops that in authenticity and quality. The Kittocks Course uses the natural Scottish terrain to create a challenging round for the beginner and the seasoned golfer.
Who will come out on top? There's only one way to find out; get the gang together and test everybody's resolve and IQ on this championship track.
Course
Loosen your shoulders. The opener, a par-5, is begging for huge drives off the tee; there are 548 yards to clear. Hit the centre of the fairway, then accurately place the second shot towards the pin. Watch out for the green-side bunkers.
The 6th, a par-3, is fairly straightforward. Aim centrally for a birdie chance but beware that under-hit or overhit shots could find the small bunkers on either side.
At the 12th, bunkers are placed awkwardly throughout the fairway, so this par-4 requires a tactical approach. Lay-up before the second bunker for the best shot at the pin.
For the closing hole, another par-4, land between the first set of bunkers for a clear approach shot. Next, sink that putt and celebrate the win.
Clubhouse
St. Andrews Bar & Grill Restaurant overlooks the fairways. Take your favourite drink, kick back and relax while you marvel at the course you conquered.
The 19th's menu uses fresh and local Scottish ingredients, which makes one hell of a full Scottish breakfast, as well as signature club sandwiches or the famous Scottish seafood platter-fresher than the new golf trainers you bought for the trip.Course Facilities
