Top hint for this course
On the 16th, a par-5 dogleg right, with large water and bunkers hiding the green force a tactical style of play. The distance means driving down the left is best. If successful, the dogleg is cancelled, and you can drive towards the dancefloor.
Full Course Lowdown
Montecastillo is a tournament mainstay, proving to be one of Spain's gems every year. People flock here from across the globe-it's located in one of the world's best golf resorts.
Jack Nicklaus claims it's one of his best designs, perfect to challenge an expert golfer or the duffer of the group. A great balance. Get the gang together, follow the footsteps of pros, and play your very own European Tour.
Course
The 4th requires complete accuracy. A drive landing between the bunkers on the left and the area dotted with trees to the right will set you up for a sweet approach shot.
On the 7th, the hazards are similar; trees are dotted awkwardly, blocking the money shot. Instead, lay up short of the water, or to the left if you can manage it, for the easiest shot towards the green.
At the end of the front nine, the fairway narrows in the middle thanks to five different bunkers. If you can carry them, go for it! If not, then lay up before and use the next stroke to approach the dancefloor and start putting.
The par-3 at the 14th is a risk-reward hole. Do you aim straight for the green, and risk landing in the bunkers? Or do you lay up and play cautiously?
Now for the end of the back nine. A firm drive down the middle should create a straightforward approach shot, so hit the green from the second stroke and show off your short-game skills. Sink the putt and head to the clubhouse for some swing oil, champ.
Clubhouse
While there is no official 19th hole-don't panic-there are four different restaurants. Will you fine dine in El Lagar restaurant with traditional cuisine from Seville or refuel with light bites at El Tabanco Snack Bar?
If you had a blinder on the fairways, you should treat yourself. Sip some ales, soak up the Mediterranean sun, and laugh at the blunders some of you had in the bunkers-it's a hard life.Course Facilities

The Location
A fine location for a truly authentic golf holiday in Spain. The course can be found on a luxury 4-star resort, so finding accommodation on the doorstep is a breeze.
Locally there are very few hotels and restaurants, so heading 11.1km to Jerez puts you in the thick of it. And best of all? It's the sherry capital of the world, so indulge in some locally-produced wines and top up your tan.
Jerez's larger neighbour, Seville, boasts buzzing streets lined with bars and popular restaurants. Celebrate the win on the greens by sharing wine, enjoying fresh Spanish food, and dancing until late at night (we hope you packed some paracetamol).
