Top hint for this course
We've got a tip for the 14th. On this par-3, the water is intimidating, but we recommend carrying straight over to hit the dancefloor. It's better to over-hit here.
Full Course Lowdown
The oldest course at St. Mellion's Resort is a classic for anybody looking to conquer golf in the South West.
As it's hosted many tournaments, the fairways are an excellent test for golfers, so its popularity is no mystery. Grab your clubs and tackle this UK bucket-lister with the gang. Are you ready?
Course
You've got an audience on the 1st-no pressure. Unfortunately, the bunkers are awkwardly placed, so your navigation and club selection must be on point for a successful start.
The 4th features a harsh dogleg right, but don't aim too far right, a bunker is waiting. Aim centrally from the tee box, and then reap the rewards of an open approach to the green. Favour the right, as there's a small bunker to the left.
At the end of the front nine, beware of water and sand. This par-4 is reachable in two strokes, so if you bring you're a-game on the dancefloor, there's a birdie chance.
Accuracy is essential to score low on the 11th. You want an easy second shot as the fairway is tight, and the green is one of the smallest on the course.
This is where the approach game separates the best from the rest.
Clubhouse
The Nicklaus Bar, named after the GOAT, is a prime place to enjoy a well-earned beverage with the perfect view of the 18th on the Nicklaus Course.
On top of this, the indoor seating is awesome. Whether you want to line your stomach with some snacks or catch up on live sports with a pint of the local ale, there is something for everybody.
