Full Course Lowdown
A rare occasion is teeing off on a seasoned championship course; one that's been blessed with the presence of pros. Now it's your turn to make a legacy.
The Oxfordshire Golf Club offers an alternative to traditional golf; an exciting and varying challenge compared to other rounds. Marvel at the stunning landscape while you school your friends on the fairways and bring the tournament home to its rightful owner.
Course
"Full of Hope" is the name of the first hole. Will it be false hope? Smash a drive favouring the centre-right of the fairway for a second shot with ample space. Take care with the approach though; there are two bunkers.
The 5th is a par-3, but don't let the 201 yards fool you, it's no walk in the park. Take more club than usual and aim for the back of the green. Many people hit the water here.
On the 10th you face a downhill strike towards the dancefloor. Aim left of the fairway for an easier approach and to avoid the water and bunkers.
Another par-3 on the 13th carrying over water. Use a short iron to close the distance, without falling short into the front bunkers.
A cracking finisher. The bunker-lined right side means you should aim down the left while being cautious of the single bunker ahead. If you fall short of the bunker, the approach should be simple. Sink the putt, bask in glory, and head to the clubhouse.
Clubhouse
You just can't beat the comfort of a traditional clubhouse. A friendly atmosphere, a wide selection of brews, and heart-warming classics to line the stomach; all to accompany the sense of victory in the air.
Discuss the action from the round while sipping some swing oil (the loser gets the first round) and decide the forfeits for those who entered the bunkers the most.
