Top hint for this course
Here's a tip for the end of the front nine. It's a tricky par-5 with bunkers spaced awkwardly throughout the fairway, so carry over the first set of bunkers and use your second shot to create a layup for the approach. This will also avoid the bunkers around the green.
Full Course Lowdown
A championship parkland course is suitable for golfers of all levels to enjoy, but it's lengthy, so don't let this phase you. It features many doglegs and even a double dogleg on the 13th, a tactical approach is needed throughout.
Other holes feature par-3s with water hazards and challenging fairways with risk-and-reward scenarios. The gang can't miss out on this one!
Course
Let's tee off with the opener. The tee box is directly in front of the car park (no pressure), with a tree-lined fairway looking to trouble any lumberjacks. Three bunkers surround the large green, so a calm chip shot should do the trick.
The 7th features an elevated tee, providing a clear view of the hazards and the dancefloor. It's reachable in one, so favour accuracy to avoid the lake on the left side of the green.
Well, this one is a bit harsh. A double dogleg hides the green and makes the fairway difficult to navigate. With bunkers on each corner, you'll need to use your IQ and pull some serious skills out of the locker.
The end of the back nine makes use of both sand and water. Another dogleg (only one this time) but avoiding the lake and two bunkers should be straightforward. An accurate approach shot see you put the game to bed.
Clubhouse
Not your average 19th hole. No, it's not a clubhouse, it's a pub. The Linden Tree serves classic draught beers, and comforting pub food classics, all within a traditional and cosy country pub atmosphere. Is there a better way to unwind after the fairways?
