Top hint for this course
On the 8th many trees loom over the fairway, making it difficult to drive off the tee. Use a hybrid or three-wood for accuracy.
Full Course Lowdown
This course lies next to the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea, the perfect place for the ultimate golf showdown. This expertly designed course will even challenge the lowest handicap member of your group. Nobody is safe.
Alcanada requires concentration, patience, and accuracy, so try not to go too hard the night before this one. It's recognised by all visitors as one of Mallorca's best, so give it a go and prove why your group belongs on this top-notch course.
Course
We hope you put the hours in at the local club before taking this one on. Don't let its good looks deceive you. This course provides many strategically placed bunkers and towering trees to disrupt your game.
Right from the start you face a difficult par-5. Be sure to keep your tee shot to the right side to set up your second shot. The approach to the green is difficult here.
The 14th holds a green with three different levels. As if that wasn't already difficult, the wind on this open hole will make you question your club selection. (Sorry, we didn't say this was easy.)
The final hole requires a drive that favours the right side of the fairway. This uphill hole means you need to carefully select your clubs for the second and approach shot.
Clubhouse
After a testing loop, it's time to refuel with a refreshing Spanish lager and tuck into some tapas as you run over the scorecards.
The reasonably priced menu is the perfect place to pig out and unwind. Its atmosphere makes for the ultimate pitstop before the afternoon activities.
