Designed by Seve Ballesteros, Porto Santo Golfe combines coastal scenery with a strategic test of golf. For us, that is a big part of its appeal. You are not just playing a course with great views. You are playing a layout shaped by one of the game's most creative minds!
The Course
What makes Porto Santo Golfe stand out is its contrast. The front nine has a strong links-style feel, with wide fairways, open landscapes, and the wind often becoming a major factor. It demands thought, control, and patience.
The back nine changes the mood. Here, the course becomes more dramatic, with clifftop holes and elevated views over the Atlantic. It feels bold. Memorable. Properly cinematic.
At over 7,000 yards from the back tees, Porto Santo Golfe has the length and layout to challenge stronger players, but it remains enjoyable for a wide range of handicaps. The design gives you room from the tee in places, but that does not mean it is easy. Position matters. Shot selection matters. And when the breeze gets up, you will know about it!Signature holes
Hole 13 - This is one of the most striking holes at Porto Santo Golfe. Set in a dramatic clifftop position, it delivers the kind of ocean backdrop that stays in your mind long after the round is over. It is visually spectacular, but it also asks for a committed golf shot.
Hole 15- A superb par 3 and one of the course's real postcard moments. The sea views are exceptional, yet this is far more than a scenic stop on the card. Club selection is crucial, especially when the wind moves through. We love holes like this - simple in concept, demanding in execution.The Clubhouse
