Top hint for this course
The 1st has several approaches, the most common being fatal. A drive to the green will add to your scorecards because of the bunker in front of the green or the out-of-bounds behind it. Hit the right side of the fairway for a straightforward approach shot.
Full Course Lowdown
It's one of the few championship loops in the Hertfordshire region. Having hosted several European and Senior Tours, it's no surprise that premium fairways and greens make for a challenging round for any golfer.
While many pros have graced the fairways, anybody can follow in their footsteps, so it's a gem for a group of mixed handicaps. Sounds too good to be true, but it's real.
Course
From the 2nd a difficult layout will make you question your approach game. Possibly the hardest approach shot on the course, three bunkers, a lake, and two more bunkers guard the green. Hitting the far-left corner will set up the easiest approach.
The 8th is a lengthy par-4, where driving to the left of the fairway should be favoured (try to avoid the woods near the green).
The end of the back nine is a difficult par-5 with a dogleg right hiding the green. A drive to the left of the fairway should then set up the tricky approach onto a multi-bunker guarded green.
The 13th is an excellent usage of water hazards. The lake right of the dancefloor will drown your ball if you aim straight for the green from tee off.
Clubhouse
Unfortunately, there's no official 19th hole, but the five-star resort has something to say about that. Head over to the restaurant, where a diverse menu trumps your typical clubhouse offerings.
Unwind over a three-course meal to line your stomach while you enjoy the wine and take a look back at the action from the round.

The Location
If you're looking for a quiet getaway, bars with relaxed atmospheres and exploring the town, then staying in the hotels of Ware will satisfy this itinerary.
Had the complete opposite in mind? Don't worry, London is only 43 miles away. If you're looking for an eventful night of swanky bars, hipster pubs, and premium nightclubs - then London is a match made in heaven. You'll have one hell of a night out in the big smoke.
