Top hint for this course
Let's help you out on the course. On the 3rd, the large slope is your best friend, as you can use it to your advantage. Aiming perfectly down the centre should see the slope guide your shot towards the green. Beware of the water to the right and the bunker to the left.
Full Course Lowdown
Using the natural terrain, Dye has managed to build a naturally challenging links course, perfect for all levels of handicaps to enjoy. The coastal dunes often come into play, so there are extra hazards to swerve.
It's considered one of Portugal's best courses with the state-of-the-art technology. Why not try it out and leave your mark? The gang won't need much convincing.
Course
The opener is an excellent test of accuracy. Halfway up the fairway it narrows with two large bunkers causing this, so it's best to carry over these whilst avoiding the bunkers guarding the green. Aiming slightly left of the green is your safest bet.
On the 8th hole, it's best to aim left of the fairway if you're a big hitter. It'll set up a lovely approach shot that avoids the bunker on the right. Hitting the right of the fairway is okay, but the approach shot is longer.
On the 14th, using the slopes to your advantage will make this one easier. If you drive down the right side, the ball should fall back into the middle of the fairway. The dancefloor slopes right to left, so approaching the green on the right will drag the ball towards the pin.
Clubhouse
A two-floor modern 19th hole that oozes comfy characteristics and luxury. It'll be hard to leave this place. The outdoor terrace overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and the course you just schooled the team on, so celebrate with some local brews with the sublime view.
The 2nd floor includes a large bar and lounge area, so the downtime after an intense round will seem like a breeze. Kick back and enjoy the A la Carte menu, the winner deserves the Tomahawk steak, surely?
