Here's a tip for the Monastery course. Everybody who plays these two 9 holes claims the greens are fast, so take this into account when reading the greens and weighing up your putting.
Full Course Lowdown
Robert Trent Jones Jr. returned to the Penha Longa resort to create an additional two 9-hole loops. To refresh the game, combine the two, or add on to the front nine of the Atlantic Championship course.
Combine the undulated fairways of the championship course with the fast greens and narrow fairways of the Monastery Course for a unique round like no other.
Course
On the 22nd hole, the elevated tee provides a clear view of the hazards between you and the pin on this par-3. A straight tee-off should avoid the bunker on the right and the lake on the left, so take your time and favour accuracy over power.
The 26th hole is another par-3, but water poses more of a threat. You must avoid the "Lagoa Verde", or Green Lake, to succeed here.
For the 27th, the green is slightly out of sight. Don't forget about the hazards protecting the green while you try to cut off the angle.
Clubhouse
The premises feature seven different restaurants and bars. Select one of the insane settings to count up the scorecards, order some beverages, plan the forfeits for the losers, and prepare for the evening ahead.
