Overview
The Fancourt Montagu Course is one of South Africa's most respected championship parkland layouts. Designed by Gary Player and opened in 1990 (redesigned in 2005), it plays to par 72 and stretches 6,875 metres (7,516 yards) from the back tees.
Set against the Outeniqua Mountains on the Garden Route, the Fancourt Montagu Course delivers pristine conditioning year-round. It's strategic. It's scenic. And it's consistently ranked among the country's best.
If you want tournament-quality golf with five-star presentation, this is it.
The Course
The Fancourt Montagu Course rewards precision over power. Tree-lined fairways frame each hole. Strategic bunkering guards preferred landing areas. Water hazards come into play when you least expect them.
Approach shots demand accuracy. Greens are fast, true, and subtly contoured. Miss in the wrong place and you'll know about it.
Multiple tee boxes make the Fancourt Montagu Course playable for mixed-ability groups. Low handicappers love the shot values. Mid-handicappers appreciate the fairness. Everyone enjoys the immaculate conditioning.
It's championship golf-without being overwhelming.
Signature Holes
4th Hole - Par 5
A classic risk-and-reward par five. Long hitters can challenge the green in two, but water and bunkering punish anything loose. Decision-making is everything.
18th Hole - Par 4
A dramatic closing hole with water lining the fairway and guarding the approach. It's a true finishing test. Matches are won and lost here!
These holes define the Fancourt Montagu Course experience-strategic, beautiful, unforgettable.
The Clubhouse
The clubhouse at Fancourt reflects the same standard as the golf course-elegant, welcoming, and professional.
Expect premium locker rooms, excellent practice facilities, and refined dining overlooking the course. It's the perfect 19th hole. Relaxed but sophisticated.
Play the Fancourt Montagu Course for the championship layout. Stay for the full luxury golf experience.
